Reflect · for seekers

If you’re exploring honestly, we want you here.

You don’t have to believe anything yet. You don’t need a religious background. If you’re curious about Jesus — or hurt by people who used his name — or asking honest questions — Reflect was built for you, too.

$7/month after trial. Cancel before day 8 — you won’t be charged.

What’s different here

Most faith apps assume you’re already in. They lead with worship songs, push for decisions, and treat doubt like a problem to be fixed. Reflect was designed differently — built around the conviction that the Holy Spirit, not pressure, is what draws someone to Jesus.

Onboarding asks one honest question: where are you on your journey with Jesus? — with three real options: exploring, following, or returning after time away. Then a second question: what brings you here?— curious, hurt, skeptical, or just looking around. Your reflections are tuned to your answer.

We don’t ask you to pray prayers you don’t mean. We introduce Jesus through what he actually did and said in the gospels — healing, eating with outcasts, weeping, confronting religious hypocrites — and we let his character speak for itself.

Three honest lanes

Curious

You want to know who Jesus actually is — not a caricature, not the politicized version, not the church kid’s flannelgraph. We meet you with story and scripture. Authors like C.S. Lewis, Philip Yancey, Brennan Manning. Real Jesus, told plainly.

Hurt

You had faith, and people who used his name wounded you. We don’t pretend that didn’t happen. We show you Jesus’s anger at religious abusers, his tenderness with the cast-out, the Psalms of lament. He is not like the people who hurt you.

Skeptical

You have honest questions. Doubt isn’t your failure — it’s your integrity. We engage your mind first: Lewis on the trilemma, Keller on the resurrection, N.T. Wright on the historical case. Faith here is a reasonable response to evidence, not a leap into the dark.

What a seeker morning looks like

A real Reflect reflection tuned for someone exploring. No religious jargon. No demand to believe anything yet. Just Jesus, in the gospels, told plainly.

For someone exploring

Scripture

Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?" He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

Mark 4:38–39

Reflection

Jesus was asleep in the boat while the people he loved were terrified. When they woke him, he didn't lecture them about their faith. He stood up, spoke three words, and the storm stopped.

There's something to notice here. He wasn't worried. He didn't need to be. The same person who calmed that storm is the one being introduced to you, slowly, one morning at a time. You don't have to believe anything yet — just sit with the picture.

Prayer

If you feel like it, you could try saying something simple to him today — even just "I'm here." That's enough. He's not waiting on the perfect words.

Today’s question

Where in your life is the boat rocking right now — and what would it feel like if someone could say "Quiet, be still" to it?

Honest answers

What if I’m not religious?

That’s exactly who this is built for. You don’t need to call yourself anything. You don’t need to believe anything yet. Sit with the reflections. See what happens. The Holy Spirit, not us, does the drawing.

Will you preach at me?

No. The early reflections don’t use words like sin or salvation. They show you Jesus — what he did, who he ate with, who he confronted, who he wept for. We trust his character to be persuasive.

What if I’ve been hurt by the church?

That’s a real wound and we don’t pretend it isn’t. Pick the “hurt” lane in onboarding and your reflections will lean into Jesus’s tenderness, his anger at religious abusers, the Psalms of lament. We won’t ask you to forgive your abusers as a condition of grace. He heals first.

What if I have intellectual questions?

Pick the “skeptical” lane. We engage your mind — the historicity of the resurrection, the philosophical case for Christianity, the honest doubt of figures like Augustine, Lewis, Pascal. We won’t paper over hard questions with ‘just have faith.’

Do I have to commit to anything?

No. Reflect adapts to where you are. If after a while you sense something stirring and you’d like to take a step of faith, there’s a quiet place on Reflect to do that. If you don’t — you keep getting reflections meeting you where you are, indefinitely. The door stays open either way.

What if I started, then changed my mind?
